welcome

Based in the heart of Walthamstow Village, we are committed to producing honest British food, sourced ethically, skilfully prepared and reasonably priced, in a relaxed and unpretentious setting.

Bread is made on the premises, in the EAT17 bakery. We source all our meat from the East London Sausage Company across the road. Micky, the butcher, buys his meat direct from reputable farms such as Plantation Pigs based in Surrey. The chicken and eggs we use are all free-range.

Fish is caught using sustainable methods from fish to fork. Our smoked salmon is from the well renowned H. Forman & Son, our cockles and shrimps are caught in Morecambe Bay, our scallops are caught in the North Atlantic, and our mackerel and sardines are from Cornwall.

Fruit and vegetables are from the distributor Kirby's, based in the New Covent Garden Market in London, who ensure quality and source from small, reputable farms, locally wherever possible. We only use Jude's award winning ice cream with our desserts, and Neal's Yard for our cheese board.

We have created an exciting new drinks menu, which includes Freedom Organic Lager, Meantime Wheat Beer, brewed in Greenwich, and our very own EAT17 IPA, brewed down the road at Brodies micro-brewery in Leyton. We also have a wide selection of organic juices from Lacombe's based in Devon.
